How can I add a (system folder) My Documents on my Windows 95 desktop?

I don’t have a My Documents on my Windows 95 desktop like I see on other
computers, which I’m assuming is a system folder, not a shorcut icon. Tweak
UI doesn’t have it to add it either when I installed it. Is there a way to
add it (by typing a long numerical key for example)? Thank you for
replying.

Can Win98/Fat32 work with Hibernation?

Ok, I’ve read a micorosft article (and other things) about getting
Hibernation to work with Win98/FAT32. It talks about setting up an
additional "Hibernation partition" and assigning it 84H id.  Ok, I get
the whole setting up a partition thing, that’s not hard, but how do I
assign it an ID and how do I get my BIOS to use that partition for doing

hibernation, and is that partition supposed to be FAT16?  I installed
win2k on the same pc, and only because 2k wouldn’t work with some very
necessary applications I had, I removed 2k. But the hibernation function

of win2k worked flawlessly, so I have to think my BIOS is good-to-go.
Summarizing – what is the approach of getting Hibernation to work on a
win98/fat32 system?
Here’s the article:

A DOS window in Win_Me?

I know you can do this from a start-up disk, but is it also possible
to open a DOS window in Me?  I need to be able to access a USB drive
while running a DOS program and Windows needs to be fully up to
assign a drive letter to USB.

vanishing grid lines windows 98se

i’m using Dell with factory installed windows 98se.  Several spreadsheets
I’ve constructed (word-spreadsheet) lost grid lines (some didn’t).  Dell
has not solved this.  Local tech did recover grids on one floppy.  I’m
having to bootup my old IBM aptiva and use it to run previously saved
sheets.  The Dell won"t take floppies saved in win 3.1.  Help.  FOCOL

History of DLL's in Windows

Hi,

Can anybody give me a good link, or even a brief synopsis of the history of
dynamic linking in Windows versions 1.0+  (including NT)

Even a good link to the history of computing might be handy.

Regards,

Tim

Unwanted access in Windows 98

December 18, 2000

I have Windows 98 hooked up to a cable modem using DHCP. When I first
turn
on the machine, even before using a browser, I notice that my machine is
either
being accessed or accessing some other facility. How do I determine
who/what/where
my machine is going to?
