  Check out files having extensions .tmp, .gid, and .bak. These file types are &lt;br /&gt; normally safe to delete. Do not delete executables files as these r program &lt;br /&gt; files. There are lots of utilities you can find in the net that do &lt;br /&gt; specifically do this stuff. For a start try sysmechanic or cybermedia &lt;br /&gt; uninstaller.
