ways around 98/98se password

hi all,
        i have a comp here that has 98 on it but the original owner has lost
the password. how do i get around it?

            These are usually in a *.pwl files. If you can boot into DOS and if you a
    DosShell or any other way of looking up all files in the dir and just delete the
    *.pwl files
