win98 on 2nd partition

I’d like to run a test that requires me to install win98 on a 2nd
partition. (I currently have win98 on the 1st partition).

I created a primary partition using partition magic which is now marked
as hidden. I have a startup disk created from the control panel. I have
the win98 cd rom.

How do I get the system to "see" only the 2nd partition? How can I do
this installation?

I’ve read a lot of postings here, but none of them seem to get directly
to the problem I have. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You can mark this partition bootable and then boot from the Windows 98 kicker disk.
Win98 will then offer to format and intall.

Alternatively you can use Boot Magic, which comes on the Partition Magic CD.
With this, all you need do is choose the name (like Win98-2) and again have
the Win 98 kicker diskette in drive A: when doing this.
Boot Magic is rather easy to install and to add to the boot menu.
